If I could give 0 stars I would!

I am absolutely furious with The Lemon Tree. I went in for blonde highlights and walked out with orange hair. Not a slight warmth, not a subtle mistake—my entire head was toned into a blotchy orange mess by a fill-in stylist who clearly didn’t know what he was doing. My natural hair is brown and I left looking awful.

What made this even worse was their complete lack of responsibility afterward. The salon was closed for three days, they didn’t answer any calls, and they didn’t bother returning a single message. I was forced to go to another salon because I had to work and couldn’t show up with light orange hair. The second salon tried to fix it, but the damage was so bad that it still needs a full dye and highlight redo. So far I’ve paid $120 at Lemon Tree and another $265 at the corrective appointment, and my hair is STILL not fixed.

Lemon Tree’s response? Nothing. No apology, no solution, no proper correction. Just a $95 “credit” that I will never use because I wouldn’t trust them to touch my hair again. They didn’t even have basic color correction products—no blue shampoo, nothing I could actually use to manage the mess they created.

I have photos of the disaster they left me with. This whole experience has been humiliating, expensive, and completely avoidable if the salon cared even slightly about their clients. I would warn anyone considering this place: do not risk it.

i called to book a womens haircut and told i would be seeing sami. when i walked in she was the receptionist and the entire haircut felt rushed and like i had to tell her which pieces to cut, if i knew which pieces to cut i wouldve just cut it myself. i showed her those reference photos of hair with pointed ends and made it clear i do not like thick blunt ends that are cut straight across. i had her cut some baby hairs and she was parting it so unevenly and i had to keep correcting it and using my fingers to pull pieces to make it look normal, a hairstylist should know what to cut in order to make hair look a certain way. she kept pulling my hair to the front asking me if its good because she was trying to be done as soon as possible. i had to repeatedly ask her to make the ends thinner and she responded by messily point cutting the bottom. the result of my hair is uneven and looks like i did it myself. i would have just cut it at home if i knew i couldnt trust this girl. her instagram shows she is more of a colourist so im upset that she booked me for herself knowing she wasnt a good stylist.
$60 for a haircut that i have to go get fixed by someone who actually knows how to listen and cut hair because its exactly what i didnt want i wish i never got it cut here and i will never visit this salon again and wont be recommending it to anyone.

came her recently for my graduation hair and makeup. i was told my stylist sami could do hair and makeup.

my hair was beautiful, it was everything i wanted and held up great all day. i loved it.

sami was very kind, however her makeup skills are not present. i went in with light makeup already on but asked if we could take it off after she asked if she could just work on top of what i had..? i said no but she could leave my brows if she’d like since im kind of picky. she left my eyeliner, mascara, brows, CREASED concealer and barely wiped off my foundation. she gave me a black smoky eye even though we both agreed on some cool toned browns, not black. the foundation was orange and oily, and since she didn’t properly remove my previous foundation it started separating on my face.

i absolutely hated it. i looked terrible and i was so sad because it was my big day. it was $85 i believe for the makeup which is so wrong considering so much of it was basically my own work that she left on my face and nothing like what i wanted. i didn’t want to say anything because she truly is so so sweet and very pleasant, but i don’t think it’s fair to recommend her to other girls on their big days. im lucky that i have the skill to do my own makeup, i just wanted to feel pampered. went home, wiped it off, and re did it myself.

I highly recommend coming to the Lemon Tree for a little pampering. They have an very welcoming and friendly staff dedicated to making you feel like a rock star. The salon is bright and clean with plenty of natural light. Kelsey is so extremely talented and I never leave disappointed in my hair. She is so creative and always looking for ways to improve and hone her skills. She is unbelievable with colours, and listens to what it is that you are looking for. If you just want something new but don't have an idea, she is incredible at coming up with a hip new look that suits your face and shape. I highly recommend.
